Patience is the first of many important lessons we learn from fishing. No matter if you are waiting for your next strike or untangling a bird’s nest, you need patience to succeed.
Secondly, with closer observation, we realized that while humans concern ourselves with details like the color of our boat, the size of our tackle box or the length of our rods, fish do not care about any of those things. Fish keep it simple, all the time. Their focus is, has been and always will be on food, survival and procreation. Can you image the time when humans lived such an existence?
Fishing also teaches us that you can do everything right and not experience the success you expected. For me, this was the first step into the realization that we should live our lives with great anticipation and low expectations.
Yes there are many life lessons fishing can teach us. Now take the time to share this teaching opportunity with a neighbor or a relative or perhaps someone you know from work.
