Entanglement in fishing line is the main cause of stranding of marine species like manatees, sea lions, seals, dolphins, sea turtles, & whales.

How can I help?

  • Recycle fishing line in bin locations across the state.
  • Bring a container with a lid to store plastic bags or used fishing line (e.g., tennis ball canister or coffee can).
  • Collect any plastic items or fishing
    line you see.
