Linda Goode Conservation Award

Linda Goode’s enthusiasm and passion for doing the right thing to better protect our nation’s greatest and most diverse estuary, the Indian River Lagoon, was unsurpassable. At the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program  (IRLNEP), Linda was instrumental in creating and completing several of the IRLNEP’s early milestones including the IRLNEP Snook tag, the first Hands Across Lagoon event and the annual Indian River Lagoon Photo Calendar.

A true advocate of recreational fishing, Linda was also a strong supporter of education and grassroots activism. Foremost, Linda was an exemplary example of what it takes to be a marine steward.

The first Linda Goode Conservation Awards will be awarded November 15th at the AFC’s Protecting Our Waters party.
