Looking back to our impact in 2022, through our program Hook Kids on Fishing we reached 152 children with events at the Manatee Observation Center, Grills Riverside Tiki Bar, and Indian River Lagoon Day Festival. We didn’t do it alone, we could not have done it without our sponsors Huk Gear Fish Florida and the work of our tireless volunteers! Thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Since 2006, Anglers for Conservation programs and events have engaged more than 16,000 kids and their parents. Hook Kids on Fishing is a hands-on, conservation-minded, and educational fishing program that teaches:โ€‹

  • Casting and fishing safety,
  • Knot tying and tackle box essentials, โ€‹
  • Catch and Release tactics, โ€‹
  • Essential Fish Habitats, โ€‹
  • Protection of Marine Species
  • Conservation of Indian River โ€‹Lagoon ecosystems
  • Sustainable Boating and much more!

Our new year’s resolution for 2023 is to expand our outreach within the Indian River Lagoon boundaries. To do this, we need volunteers like you!
