Former AFC treasurer and serving board member James Smith and his brother Jake just made it back to Sampson island in Satellite beach, FL after a three-month off the grid adventure in the Bahamas! Solar panels charged their U.S. Battery’s (link) ten six-volt batteries that powered the electric motor and all the systems aboard their sailboat the Valhalla! James says,”It’s been a wild adventure that taught us a lot about living off the grid and we can’t wait to share what we’ve learned! We will keep you along as we finish our documentary Green Horizons- Journey off the Grid!
Thanks for all the awesome support along the way!” The documentary’s core values revolve around practicing sustainable travel, sustainable nutrition and self-reliance to preserve the earth’s beauties for future generations! For the next month they’ll be traveling and filming along the Indian River Lagoon highlighting the importance of their hometown waters in their documentary, Green Horizons, Journey off the Grid!
