On the second Friday of every month, Downtown Melbourne hosts a huge street party officially called “Friday Fest”.  If you haven’t been going, you need to.  The street parties were always fun, but now that all the bars, restaurants, and clubs have opened in Downtown Melbourne, they are an absolute blast.

The Friday Fest takes place on New Haven avenue.  The blocks between the railroad tracks and Waverly Place is closed to traffic and all festivities take place in this area.
