Hook Kids on Fishing – IRL Day, Melbourne

FreeIn partnership with the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program, Anglers for Conservation (AFC) is coordinating AFC’s Hook Kids on Fishing program on Saturday, November 14th from 9am-11am.
Kids ages 5 to 15 are welcome. This program is limited to 20 kids that will receive a free rod/reel and tackle box thanks to the Fish Florida Foundation.
The conservation-minded Hook Kids on Fishing programs teach casting, rod safety, knot tying, tackle box, catch and release tactics, boating and conservation. Programs are taught by professional guides and knowledgeable anglers from surrounding communities. Parents and kids bring your smiles, positive attitudes and patience along with you!
Parent/guardian must accompany children at all times and a waiver must be completed in order to attend. Waivers can be signed below when registering or at the event. Fishing equipment is NOT needed to attend.

The Hook Kids on Fishing program is a product of the Anglers for Conservation, a non-profit-501-C3, whose mission is to inspire new generations of marine stewards through education, conservation, and fishing.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get signed in.
