Welcome to the Hook Kids on Fishing Program

In partnership with the Hobe Sound Nature Center, Anglers for Conservation (AFC) is proud to bring the Hook Kids on Fishing (HKOF) Program to the Hobe Sound Community.

This conservation-minded program is open to the public and teaches children casting, rod safety, knot tying, tackle box, boating, and conservation. HKOF is taught by Volunteers who are professional guides and knowledgeable anglers from surrounding communities and directed by AFC Staff. Parents and kids bring your smiles, positive attitudes and patience along with you!

Kids ages 5 to 15 are welcome and registration is FREE thanks to the Hobe Sound Nature Center. Space is limited for this program so register early. All registered kids will receive a free rod/reel and tackle box thanks to the Fish Florida Tag

Parent/guardian must sign a waiver and always accompany children while in attendance. Waivers can be signed below electronically or when signing in at the event. Event starts on time so please arrive early to get signed in. Fishing equipment is NOT needed to attend.

The Hook Kids on Fishing program is a product of the Anglers for Conservation, a non-profit-501-C3 with a mission to inspire new generations of marine stewards through education, conservation, and fishing.

All attendees must follow social distance and mask regulations while attending this event. 

VOLUNTEERS WANTED-Volunteers can register themselves in our Volunteer Database, HERE!!!  Once registration is confirmed, you can RSVP to Volunteer at any AFC event on the bottom of the event page. We love our Volunteers and value your time spent helping educate future generations with us.
