Are you passionate about fishing and the outdoors? Concerned about the future of our fishing resources, and the future of recreational angling, or about loss of critical habitat, access and the pollution threatening our lagoons and waterways? Then step up to the plate and be part of the solution. Join Anglers for Conservation for a free “Train the Trainers” workshop at River Breeze Park in Oak Hill, Florida. Learn how to conduct a Hook Kids on Fishing program as an AFC volunteer, and help us create a new generation of angling stewards. Introducing and teaching kids and their parents to be responsible anglers is critical to the future of recreational fishing and the resources we are so passionate about, so please joins us and make a difference in the lives of our kids. During this one-hour Train the Trainers workshop, attendees will be taught how to best implement our most successful methods, including educational outreach tips, techniques, and tactics from a highly accomplished team of skilled recreational fishing instructors. Topics included will be safety, knot tying, casting, tackle, boating, conservation and overall best practices. Of course, there will be a few surprise topics, so stay tuned.
Anyone interested in learning more about our proven methods of teaching recreational fishing to today’s youth is invited to attend, along with all Hook Kids on Fishing program volunteers, educational outreach instructors, and any local, county or state outdoor recreational staff participating in youth outreach programs.
There will be gifts for everyone and raffle tickets for those participating. Attendance is limited, so please register early by e-mail at Heather@anglersforconservation.org.
