For the fourth year in a row, AFC partnered with Pure Ocean Productions and the Sebastian Surfrider Foundation for the Ocean-Reef-Beach Festival at Pelican Beach Park in Satellite Beach. The weather cooperated, and it was a beautiful day at the beach. AFC’s education outreach booth was there again promoting ethical angling and giving festival goers lessons on tackle, rigging, and casting. AFC also coordinated its 3rd annual “Slow Down, Chow Down” Chowder Cook-off with local restaurants who competed for the People’s Choice Award. Thank you to Banana River Café, Islands Fish Grill, Shells of Melbourne (undefeated winner) and Sun on the Beach for coming out and showcasing your seafood cooking talents!
