Local artist and cartoonist mr.e has been a Brevard resident for most of his life.  His love of nature began at an early age in our very own Indian River Lagoon, where he would spend many a weekend taking boat tours with a family friend and local wildlife enthusiast. As a faux-adult, mr.e’s mind has regressed back to childhood, as he now spends most of his time in isolation, sarcastically commenting on society through his weekly cartoons at casualfurday.com, or by painting images from his troubled past in a twisted, absurd manner.

You may be familiar with some of mr.e’s work already and not even know it. If you’ve been to one of our Hook Kids on Fishing events, you may have seen the signs sprinkled about the different stations containing some of his beloved characters, Gil & Finn.

Together, AFC and mr.e are working on a children’s book to teach the importance of conservation to anglers at an early age; look for that soon. In the meantime, mr.e’s work will be on exhibit at House of Joe on Route 192 in Melbourne this November through December. Stop in for a sip, and check out some entertaining imagery as only mr.e can provide.
