For all of you interested in becoming Fish Earth Day partners at this second annual Hook Kids on Fishing Event with the Anglers for Conservation, it’s now time to sign up.
In April 2012, the Anglers for Conservation worked together with local government, businesses, non-profits, sport fishing organizations and individual partners to coordinate a Fish Earth Day in over a dozen Florida recreational fishing communities. During these free events, over 2370 Florida youths, plus their parents/guardians, were introduced to conservation-minded, recreational fishing. With the help of our partners, we conducted these Hook Kids on Fishing programs in Apopka, Fort Pierce, Hobe Sound, Key West, Merritt Island, Orlando, Palm Bay, Punta Gorda, Satellite Beach, Sebastian, St. Marks, Tarpon Springs, and Titusville.
The Anglers for Conservation will be celebrating Fish Earth Day throughout the month of April 2013, so it’s time to pick a day to schedule your event for 2013. We’re looking forward to working with you and our many other partners in 2013 to introduce more kids and their parents to the wonderful world of recreational fishing.
