The sixth annual AFC Gumbo Wars is less than a month away.  Yes, it’s time once again for Anglers for Conservation Orlando Gumbo Wars scheduled for October 22, 2016 at Fish on Fire Restaurant in Orlando, Florida with the gates opening at 2 pm.

The AFC Orlando Chapter and many of its Orlando area community partners have set the stage for this tasty annual fundraiser featuring 26 Gumbo Teams, the Great Outdoor Toy Raffle, silent auction, and giveaways with all proceeds benefiting the AFC’s Hook Kids on Fishing Program and other local youth fishing and outdoor charities. This fun filled family event features gumbo teams from across the nation and is promoted and sponsored by Fishing Florida Radio, Coastal Angler Magazine Orlando, Sweetwater Brewing Company, ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, Yamaha Outboards, Guy Harvey Magazine, Fishing Florida App, Code Rum, Titos Handmade Vodka, Fish on Fire and other Central Florida fishing community partners and angling clubs.

Currently, the Great Outdoor Toy Raffle includes four kayaks, a canoe, two SUPs and a Big Green Egg cooker with tickets now available at Fish On Fire ($10 Each or 3 for $20). Another new raffle item this year is a Roundabout Boat with 22 square feet of deck space. Minn Kota Endura C2 motor, rod holders and trailer with tickets going for 25.00 each and only 100 tickets available. In addition, the silent auction includes vacation stays, a wide assortment of fishing tackle, guided fishing charters, and outdoor artwork. So, not only do you get to taste over 26 different gumbos for just a 10.00 admission, you have live entertainment by Haze Over Hollywood and Kat Ridgeway, and Slickwood and you could walk away with some great prizes as well.
